This law allows undocumented Rhode Islanders that meet the criteria to apply for driving privilege cards.

One of the requirements of the new law is for applicants to have tax returns filed and obtain an ITIN (Individual tax identification number). The United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites remain open, providing support between now and the end of the year for those who are looking to file.

On Saturday, July 15, 10am – 3pm, United Way of RI, 50 Valley Street, Providence will host Super Saturday – Tax Return Preparation and ITIN Application Preparation. Multilingual staff will be present to offer support.
